2010 Birmingham Golf Press Release

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, August 9, 2010. Today 72 golfers participated in the first ever Partnership Golf tournament at Iverness Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama to take a swing at ending global poverty. Approximately $95,000 was raised at the event. 

 

The tournament began with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. following registration, driving range open, putting contest and breakfast. After a day out on the course, golfers enjoyed an afternoon program with a social reception, lunch and live auction and awards. Special guests included Mari Morrison, city council member of Hoover, Alabama; Jay Roberson, council member, District 7 of Birmingham, Alabama and Jack Williams, state representative of Alabama.
