Online Media User Guidelines

Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. and its initiative PartnershipsInAction encourage comments and discussions on our various sites online, such as our website, blog and social media sites, including Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and YouTube. The purpose of these online comments and discussions is to promote communication of, understanding about and action for our various events and programs in the U.S. and abroad that help create a more peaceful and prosperous future for people around the world.

We urge readers to reply to posts, and to each other, through comments. Anyone can post a comment by logging in and registering a username and valid email address. Comments will be moderated but will not be edited for typos, spelling errors or grammar. While we try to review and approve comments as quickly as possible, the blog is not moderated 24/7. Please do not resubmit your comment if it does not appear right away. Most importantly, remember that when you post a comment, it is published for all to see.

Once submitted, the Foundation reserves the right to delete or edit any posting that:

  • is off-topic, blatantly spam or includes irrelevant links
  • contains personal contact information, such as a phone number or email address
  • promotes particular services, products, or political organizations or views
  • is reported as abuse, uses excessively foul language, promotes hate of any kind or contains ad-hominem attacks

As an organization that promotes development in the neediest and most diverse parts of the world, these guidelines stay true to our passion to create hope and opportunity for all.
